Kostas Family Restaurant

First visit to Kostas. Large variety of foodchoices. Our waitress, Emily, was great. VeryFriendly and her recommended platter choice was delicious. Prices very reasonable for such large portions. Good family atmosphere. Will definitely recommend.

We decided on this place just passing through. I remember back 30+ years ago we used to stop in this cute little town. I decided it was time to come back and try some of the local favorites. This place is great. A wide selection to choose from, great food and good service. It you are ever passing by, it's worth your time to stop by and give it a try!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to order dinner from Kostas while the quarantine was in effect. We ordered the shrimp stir fry as we have had it in the restaurant. The to go order was fresh as if we had it in the restaurant. A lovely dinner at home.

The food tastes great. I will go back.

We have been going to Kostas for years and have never had a bad meal. Dean the owner is so friendly and the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

Love this place! I got the Eggplant Parm. and it was delicious! I have also had the Gyros there too and delicious! One of our favorite places to eat when we visit this area! Nice staff too!

Greek restaurant. I really enjoy going there. Good food and great service. Nice atmosphere. They have a great gyro platter and the chop steak is good. The fried Zucchini appetizer is good. Kind of crowded and yet fun.

Every thing we ordered was great. We tried 1 of the nightly seafood specials, their fish platter and the gyro platter. The server gladly accommodated a change in the fish platter and the kitchen executed the change flawlessly. Our server was top-notch, efficient and unobtrusive. The portions were huge. We have fined here several times and will be back soon!

I haven't had Greek food this good since I moved from Tarpon Springs FL. I had gyro platter and my husband got gyro wrap with tzaziki sauce food was EXCELLENT and sauce was best I've had in years, our server Sherry was very good and attentive. Food came out quickly and at perfect temps. We will be back for sure!!!!!

Great food and great atmosphere. Service was great. Had the cheeseburger and gyro platter. Both super good. Greek restaurant so the gyro is more relevant in this review. It was fabulous and highly recommended. 😁

Kostas appears to be a local favorite. It always looks busy but we were seated quickly. Staff were very friendly and we really enjoyed our meal. The gyro was fantastic -- lamb, cucumber, tomato, and a whole bunch of yum wrapped up and ready to eat. We tried out fries greek-style and it was well worth it. Cheese, oil and seasoning in the perfect amount to awaken your palette. They've got huge pieces of cake that we didn't try but looked delicious. Strangely we did did charge the full price of our drinks when they gave us to go cups but I didn't realize it until after we left. Regardless, we'll be going back.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience yesterday at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome by the man who showed us to our table. The waitress was very attentive. I had the 1/2 Greek baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and a house salad. The chicken came out hot from the oven. The spices on it were very tasty. It was well cooked yet it was moist and not dried out. The mashed potatoes were hand made, not instant. The salad and green beans were very good. My wife had the pork chops, mashed potatoes and the Greek salad and maybe green beans. She was very pleased with her meal too. Also our meals came with homemade bread and real butter.

My husband and I were in the area for a few days and ate a nice dinner on Friday and lunch on Sunday before heading home. Both meals were very good and the servers all really worked to get the homemade food out hot. My one suggestion is they turn off CNN. The last thing families and couples having a nice meal together need is seeing polarizing news broadcasts while they eat. Maybe play a fireplace video instead!

Dean & crew brought the food out to us piping hot and delicious as ever!

Stumbled upon this place thanks to Google Maps! It was a 20 minute drive from our hotel but we chanced it and we were so glad we did! It was delicious! They had Lemon Chicken soup that I haven't been able to find but back home in Indiana! It was so good we ordered some to go! It was very busy but the wait was only about 15 minutes. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. I will definitely be returning! 100+++

The food was great and helps those who haven't had enough fiber on their vacation. The staff was very pleasant. The one thing to know is the kids chicken tenders and the adult chicken tenders are different. The adult ones are actual fried chicken pieces the kids portion is processed.

The staff is nice and helpful. I bought a gyro but I sincerely had have much better gyros in other places. I didn't think it was expensive but their gyros weren't made fresh, the meat was dry and not very tasty. Their fries were outstanding. Also the tzatziki sauce taste like something you but on a bottle at the store. I will give them another chance but I'm not going back with high expectations.

Delicious food. Very large portions. Super friendly service. I would definitely recommend and I will be back!

This is just my initial review. I had a gyro platter and it was good. Can't say the best but good enough. Nice people and fast service.

Excellent food!! This is possibly one of the best restaurants in Western North Carolina. The food is always fresh and taste incredible. The service is top-notch. The owner is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He is always very active inside the restaurant. This is a must try if your in the area.
